A Photojournalism Adventure at the Carolina Cup, Spring 2025

In this course, I experienced the thrill of photographing steeplechasing while honing my visual story-telling skills at
the Carolina Cup. Started with an overview of photojournalism and its impact, polished my technical and aesthetic aspects of photography, edited photos, and published projects.

Women’s basketball’s new revenue model hints at more equitable future | Carolina News and Reporter

Women’s sports recently hit an equity funding milestone even as players created record-breaking moments.
The NCAA in January approved the creation of women’s basketball funds for teams competing in the 2025 Women’s March Madness tournament. Teams now will be able to earn financial rewards for their conferences similar to the way men’s teams do. Biscuits and Breezing

In preparation for the Carolina Cup, I went to the Springdale Race Course to shadow a barn during the Biscuits and Breezing event. Using my photojournalism skill set and creative compositional techniques, I produced picture package that tells the story of this event.

The Carolina Cup

At the event of the Carolina Cup on March 29th, 2025, I produced live for The State newspaper online publication the evening of the race. This was a real journalistic deadline where I needed quick editing, accurate and detailed captions and color corrected images ready.
